2026 ABRSM (UK) Grade 8 Singing (Musical Theatre) — Distinction

Alicia Lao has been awarded Distinction (134/150) in the 2026 ABRSM (UK) Grade 8 Singing for Musical Theatre examination.

At Grade 8 level, examiners assess not only vocal control, but advanced character portrayal, storytelling across repertoire, dynamic colour contrast, and immediate dramatic communication.

The examination report highlighted Alicia’s convincing character interpretation, secure high register technique, vivid expression, dynamic colours and cohesive programme sequencing — reflecting both technical refinement and artistic maturity under Ms Jin Loh's tutelage.
