Below are the programme notes assessments or marking criteria for London College of Music DipLCM, ALCM, LLCM and FLCM in music performance exams.
Students need to bring a written programme notes to the exam. Inside the programme notes, students need to include a brief description of the pieces or songs that they are performing. For example, the composer, the date of the composition and any other interesting features in the programme notes.
60% of the programme notes marks are given to "Musical Knowledge"
♪ 60% of your programme notes marks are given based on the appropriateness, accuracy and the depth of information of the pieces/songs you are playing.
40% of the programme notes marks are given to "Communication"
♪ 40% of the programme notes marks are given based on for example, the style, grammar, spelling, clarity and presentation of the programme notes.
